I am still new to SilverStripe. I'm trying to use set up different users, who have different permissions along the site tree. There doesn't seem to be much built in support for this. I'm sure there is a way to hack something together, but I don't know how. I read through this forum discussion: http://www.silverstripe.com/site-builders-forum/flat/92512 But I didn't get very far. Basically I would like to have the "about user" only able to edit/add/delete the "about page" and "about children", the "contact user" permissions for contact and contact children pages, etc...

Any suggestions?

You can setup different user groups in the Security section of the CMS and then restrict access to a page to one of these groups.
This isn't a very flexible approach though and the access permissions have to be set manually for every page.
For enhanced access controll you'll most likely have to implement something on your own. Maybe the members and roles is a good starting point? http://doc.silverstripe.com/doku.php?id=member

Thanks so much for your response. I'm still having trouble setting this up. Anymore help would be greatly appreciated. I hope, there is either a tutorial or cms way to do this sometime soon.
