My dev server's not installed with the all in one WAMP package but it's basically the same thing and runs tons of php development sites, mysql, etc. PHP 5.2, MySQL 5, etc.

Downloaded stable silverstripe 2.2.2, extracted, created an empty DB to use, ran the install, this is what I get. HELP!!!!

No, but I'm assuming maybe it's some other kind of php config issue.

Trying to press on after removing auth_openid, it works away for a while then I get a browser error:

Yep, delete the whole directory. I don't see that particular error (on Wamp or Lamp) with 2.2.2, so I guess there is something peculiar to your setup. The error is a warning though, not a serious issue, and if you're not going to use openID, the easiest solution is to remove it.

I just tried dropping/re-creating the db, then dumping the .htaccess it created, and trying again.

This time I just get the connection error above. I think Apache may be ill now - going to restart it.

I have a feeling the problem is something to do with the mod rewrite stuff in htaccess.

What did you use to unpack your files? lzArc by any chance?

Double - no, I used ACDSee my photo management tool. How could un gzip/etc. cause the issues? Thanks.
