    I have extracted silverstripe to me server (shared hosting account)

    But I cannot see .htaccess file to change permissions. I have tried to upload which was successful but still invisible.

    If I rename file to htaccess (no full stop) it is visible.

    Anybody any ideas?

    All unix systems hide files when they start with a dot ".".

    Thanks Motoserver,

    found I was able to see file in the Hsphere control pnale file manager.

    Change permissions but still getting blank page.

    Troubleshooting .htaccess can be tough. I suggest searching the forums here for info relating to your issue. I've seen a few articles that address .htaccess issues.
