I have successfully installed Silverstripe and seen the admin screens but when I try and go to the main public site it always tries to load the installer. The only way to view the live site is to put ?stage=Live onto the end of the url. How do I make it go to the public home page without the url parameter? i.e. http://somesite.com/ instead of http://somesite.com/?stage=Live

This is because your browser is caching the redirect. Empty your browser's cache and it should work fine.
