having spent quite a while searching through a number of cms/frameworks and now finding 'Silverstripe' I'm going to give this one a go as it seems to be quite promising and suited to what I need to do.

I have to rebuild a number of sites, make them standards compliant, enable site users to upload their own material, generally make things more dynamic etc and build build build!

Am really Hoping this system will be workable and enjoyable to use. I'm quite optimistic about it, but after looking through various other systems and feeling equally as exicted only to find flaws or poor documentation, I'm aprehensive.

hope this works... everything looks great so far

Welcome to Silverstripe.

I basically ended up with SS for a lot of the same reasons .. I love it so far , not only the user interface, but especially the technical elegance in the SS solutions.

Keep us up to date on your adventures with SS. ;-)

hey thanks,

it's great to have a good feeling about it.

I don't want to speak to soon, but it really is looking good - for the reasons you mentioned, and everything seems... well... 'clear'.

I've only been programming a few short years, and am still finding my feet; but it all makes sense so far.

the only errors have been - 'my own'!...

which is great!!!

There's nothing so good in this business as trusting the technology, the resources and the documentation to make sense!

Great Stuff!

yep, sounds very much like my experience with SS, having looked at so many CMS's and always been disappointed after a few hours of playing, SS just kept impressing me and 3 months/5 sites on I am still loving every minuite I spend working with it!
It seems that every time I try something new I get another 'wow' factor with the way SS and saphire work.......truly it rocks and there is nothing else quite like it that I have seen.

Plus it's up and coming, so joining the community now is a great opportunity to be part of something special and to be involved in it's development.

this is all very good news...

I've got quite a workload. So, as I say, I'm 'hoping' it'll all work out.

If it does I'm sticking around. All working out as, even as I type. :)
