i just rebuilt the system they were running on, so i dont have them up any more, but like i said, i never noticed any speed difference, but the stress was minimal

I've certainly not noticed major concerns with speed when checking out from repositories served via HTTP.

I've used a svn served over http several times and the speed difference is insignificant compared to its ease of use.
