Hi - I am new to Silverstripe but going great on the main CMS. I am having problems in getting the Gallery module going. I am sorry to say this, but the instructions available on installation are not very clear for a newbie. I have added the "<% include GalleryPageContent %>" at the appropriate section in the "blackcandy" theme "Page.ss", ran db/build/ etc. but cannot get to see the images. I did have to manually upload the images, but cannot see them.

Can someone help me.

Thanks a lot.

I started to do the same thing just a while ago, but with the darkritual theme. If you're using the 0.2.2 version of the gallery, DO NOT make the GalleryPage.ss or include the variable for the Gallery in the SS files. The new gallery seems to take care of all of that in the background now.

Hi - I have tried your suggestion. However, when I try to load a default image, it comes up with an error.

------------------------------------------------
ERROR:

Error

The website server has not been able to respond to your request.

---------------------------------------------------

Are there any permissions that need to be changed on the gallery or any other folder?

Also how do you upload the images to the gallery? Do you have to FTP them manually and if so where do you have to place them?

Can anyone help?

Make sure to set the correct directory in the gallery-settings (in the files tab I believe). The module creates new directories in the assets folder.

I have checked the gallery settings and they are correct.

I get this message:
XML Parsing Error: mismatched tag. Expected: </table>.
Location: http://www.vasfamily.net/cms/photo-gallery/
Line Number 143, Column 8: </tr>

ulysses, your gallery works for me ?

The XML parsing error probably has to do something with the nesting of your html tags.
What does it do in IE ?
