This is just a quick post to announce some features confirmed for version 2.1. Let us know what you think of these features, and feel free post any related suggestions.
You will be able to use a single SilverStripe installation to manage any number of "sub-sites". They will run from the same set of templates and code-base, but will have their own content and domains. You will also be able to have a single log-in for all sites, but set permissions on a site-by-site basis.
This will be really useful if you're wanting to set up a family of similar sites on different domains, or if you want to manage a few sites from within the single application.
Related to sub-sites, you will be able to include a number of themes for your site: alternative templates and CSS files to choose from. As part of this, we will be releasing a number of standard themes for you to choose from.
If you're running one sites, this will be a way of choosing a default template; however, it will be most useful when using sub-sites: you will be able to apply different themes to different sub-sites.
