Text length in forms ?

8 November 2007 at 11:50am
Hi everyone,
I'm working through the tutorials and very much enjoying the experience...
Just wondering why there is a range for Text Length for text fields in the form tab page of the CMS ?
TIA - Dave Porter

I think it is supposed to provide a minimum/maximum length for the amount of text you are to enter into the field. Although, having tested this at demo.silverstripe.com, the minimum does not appear to be enforced, atleast for a single-row field. Haven't tested exhaustively.

Hayden Smith said it was created with that intention, so I've added a trac ticket to express its not working currently.
Anyone want to write a patch?
