Shopping cart does not work with betas 2.1.0rc1 or 2.1.0rc2

The shopping cart and order pages do not work with the above release of SS.
The cart does not appear anywhere. and you can not add any products. So therefore ordering anything is going to be impossible.

We are aware of the problem, hence why we had the note below the module download. The problem is the function which is creating the shopping cart seems to be failing, causing there to be no items, and no record of the cart at all in session or db.
I had a quick look and wasn't able to properly debug this to come to reasonable outcome as to why it's failing in the new SS versions and not in 2.0.2b, the current stable version.
Would you be confident in attempting to debug this problem? Unfortunately I don't have the time lately to do so, unless someone else wants to investigate this problem?

Sorry, I didn't see any note when I downloaded. Guess I must have missed it
I'm willing to have a look at this, although my php is not the best.
So would be beneficial for someone else to give this a look also??
