There's two modules which would make this CMS much more useful, News and Events.

One is a news module, this should have a "Current News" and a "News Archive".
The current news shows news items which will appear in the current news area until some time when they are moved to the news archive. The news archive allows navigation by month and year.
Some news items can be flagged to show on the home page of the website.

The events should show events for a time and day, should have a calendar control for navigation to other days and also let you see by day, week or month view.
Events should exist in categories and user can select category to show the event within.

News and events are important content items for many websites.

Is anyone working on anything close to this?
