    Need Installation Help...I am at a loss here! Link to this post

    I am really excited to use silverstripe, but I have had zero luck getting it to install.

    Everytime I run the install I get the following message time and time again!

    Installing SilverStripe...

    I am now running through the installation steps (this should take about 30 seconds)

    If you receive a fatal error, refresh this page to continue the installation
    # Creating 'mysite/_config.php'...
    # Creating '.htaccess' file...
    # Building database schema...
    Cannot write manifest file! Check permissions of /tmp/silverstripe-cache/manifest_hsphere_local_home_toptier_boomersoonerfamily.com_sapphire_main.php

    probably a stupid question, but are you sure you are allowed to write to /tmp/ (just as the error says ;-) )?

    Hello,

    Create a folder called silverstripe-cache in the SilverStripe installation directory and this will be used instead of the folder in the /tmp directory.
