Hello all,

I am impressed with the overall presentation of SilverStripe and am considering migrating from my old CMS. I have not installed SilverStripe to give it a try yet, so pardon my ignorance.

Is there a way to have "front end users" with SilverStripe such that they do not have access to vital templates, stylesheets, (site layout) etc...but perhaps they could register themselves, post blog entries, see restricted content etc...?

I'm just fishing for info here, any help is appreciated...

Yes,

developers can create the site functionality and layout/templates and then you can have users with different access permissions who can update the content add pages of a given type and the layout you have defined is automatically applied.

Download and go through the tutorial which will show you how easy yet also how flexible it is.
