Help for a total newbie

Hi All,
I'm new here and very new to Silverstripe, I currently have a wordpress site which is focused on toddler girl clothing
Can any of your Silverstripe experts, tell me what is the relative merits of Silverstripe in comparison with wordpress, and what would you say the major advantages of using Silverstripe would be?
Any feedback will be most welcome, and thanks in advance for helping a newbie
