Dear SilverStripe community,
I belong to the beginners in the field SilverStripe and I've just installed this CMS. I want to blog it and am going to install a blog module. The modules I have uploaded to the web space and have started following in the browser: http://internet-blogger.org/dev/build/?flush=1

Here me an error message is displayed, as follows:

Fatal error: Access level to TrackBackPing :: $ db must be public (as in class DataObject) in / www/htdocs/w0104b26/blog/code/TrackBackPing.php on line 22

I do not know why. Can someone help me? In advance, I am grateful!

Make sure you have downloaded the correct version of the blog for your need. Using the new composer functionality makes this easier, but you can check by hand. If you're running 3.0 use 0.6 - https://github.com/silverstripe/silverstripe-blog/tree/0.6

Hi Willr,

Thank you for the schnlle assistance. I was now able to successfully install the latest blog module. But now, after that I've tried a bit, I notice that the comment feature is not available.

If you click on the link to the comment, the comment function does not appear you can not see the comment box. How can it be me or I have to install another module? For a few tips I would be grateful to you in advance.

You will need to download the comments module as well. For 3.0, try the 1.1 branch - https://github.com/silverstripe/silverstripe-comments/tree/1.1

hi,
I have now installed the comments module and indeed in the directory where the blog module. And wanted to sign me in the back, but I can not. Following URL in the browser line is

http://internet-blogger.org/Security/login?BackURL =%% 2Fadmin 2Fpages

Under http://internet-blogger.org is my website.

What is the reason that I can not log in anymore? For help, I would be very grateful to you.

Wie gehts blogsash.
Können Sie prüfen Apache Fehlerprotokoll? Oder mysite/_config.php setzen Director::set_environment_type("dev");

Excuse the poor German. Check the apache error log or set environment to dev, this may tell you more. I've just installed the blog module on SS3.0.5. I was trying to drop in the master branches of each module which gave me errors. Following willr's instructions here I used

https://github.com/silverstripe/silverstripe-blog/tree/0.6
https://github.com/silverstripe/silverstripe-comments/tree/1.1
And
https://github.com/silverstripe/silverstripe-widgets/tree/0.1

Hi, thank you I'm fine. No problem because of your German. We can also talk in English.

I now have the line Director :: set_environment_type ("dev"); put in mysite / _config.php. Only me an error in the database.php on the line 580 is displayed, ie under framework / model / MySQLDatabase.php line 580

I do not understand much of it, and this would need your help. Thank you in advance!

Hmmm sorry those errors are a little difficult for me to understand. Someone else may have a better idea.

Do you have two framework folders in the root directory? Looks like it's trying to redeclare a class somewhere http://internet-blogger.org/dev/build

I can zip up a working copy of SilverStripe and the Blog modules if you would like.
