Can someone explain why I should be using the blog module for a news section? I went through the tutorials last month and creating a news section with all the bells and whistles seemed pretty straight forward, now I keep reading that the blog module is a better choice. Is this because the work (RSS feed, date/author, etc...) is already done or is there another reason? I know I saw a post somewhere explaining this but I can't find it. I think it might have had something to do with searching for articles/posts, but I've looked at so many threads that it's all kind of vague at this point.

Thanks!

The blog module includes alot more functionality - including widgets and rss feeds built in. The tutorial does not cover adding widget areas or pagination for entries etc.

Widgets included in the blog include tag clouds, archives which the article holder will not provide
