Yes I did what you asked, typically do. The backend does not save the widget location.
I just tried again, draged, dropped, save and publish. Then clicked on the holder icon to reload and the widget is gone - empty box on the right. The front end has nothing showing on the right column. -

Hi Steve,
I'm going to have leave this one I'm afraid, as I don't commonly use the blog module. Beyond the normal SS things I'll probably lead you astray. Certainly sounds strange. One thing I can suggest is installing the same version of both silverstripe and the blog module you are using on a local server like WAMP and see if you can duplicate the problem with no other modules or mods in place.

Thanks. I was maybe going to try and uninstall it and try it again. Anyone else have this latest blog on your site - working?
