As part of our on-going improvement of SilverStripe Platform, we have just released a new version of the SilverStripe Platform developer dashboard. New features will give developers more flexibility and control over the site management process.

SilverStripe Platform Dashboard v1.3.3

  • Environment-specific variables can be edited within the dashboard UI and deployed to sites. These new environment configuration tools allow you to safely store credentials and API keys in your application.
  • The users who have access to each stack can be seen and edited within the dashboard UI. New users can be invited and easily added.
  • A new screen is available for you to edit your own profile and view your access rights.
  • A new "Deployer" role is added, distinct from "Release Manager", to separate the people who have the rights to approve releases from those who can trigger them in the dashboard to deploy to production.

skitchMajor release coming soon...
We are always striving to give you more flexibility and control with SilverStripe Platform. We are working on many new exciting features including enabling you to create your own stacks directly from the dashboard.

Does the new dashboard give you more flexibility and control? What would you like to see next in SilverStripe Platform development? Please leave your comments below.
