I first became interested in computers while learning the alphabet at age 4 on my BBC micro and have a history of working with computers. I learned about maintenance and development of linux/windows backup/domain/email/etc servers, including OpenSource projects such as dbmail & Asterisk PBX. In early 2006 I decided to be full time with my own company doing similar work but trying to specialise more in software/web development. I continue to admire OpenSource projects and have started to develop widgets/modules (which patching others) for SilverStripe.
The first few contracts I received as a freelancer were for developing a client/order processing VBA application to run with low maintenance cost MySQL server. I also offered remote support & hardware maintenance of various apple/linux/windows desktop/laptop/servers. And started to get projects to create (or amend) opensource scripts for Joomba, Drupal, osCommerce, WwordPress, or other custom PHP based CMS’s. I even created a CMS from scratch using complex math & basic logic to parse to HTML, XML, CSV, M3U and even PDFLib (ver 5-7).
I am currently available for work in either a development team environment, or any sole freelance work for web development.
