Image Gallery troubles - howto unpublish a single album?

Hello community,

Hope this is not a double post, here goes:

Have the latest version of the CMS (2.4.2) w/ imagegallery, blog, etc. all installed and running fine BUT:

For some weird reason, the images in 2 albums seem to have 'vanished'. All it shows in the back-end are blank squares for each photo. Checking the folders where these files should be via FTP show everything is in its right place. Just to try, I changed the permissions on these two albums' folders to 777. No results, still blank squares.

worst thing is, I can't unpublish one album in a 5 album gallery. I have to unpublish the whole gallery (5 albums). Thats kind of a bummer ;)

the front end just shows numbered links where the photos should be.

Do the thumbnails exist in the folders _resampled of the folders where the images are stored?

There's actually loads of files in the _resampled directory... check the screenshot...
