Hi,

I recently moved a fairly popular site over to silverstripe. All good - but my spam on my forums went from zero in 4 years to a few comments per day Probably becuase my old system was hand writen, messy, and spammers just couldn't find it.

So I put Mollom on. Spam has stopped, but the number of real people signing up has also dropped off.

I don't think Mollom helps with:
> Text that is too hard to read,
> the warning bar in firefox saying i don't have the correct plugins,
> and in chrome the page downloads a weird mp3 file - (this confused me for ages as to why my download bar kept showing suspicious mp3s i hadn't asked for...)

I like the idea of Mollom, but is there a way to specify: no wierd audio files: easier text: or just a simple 'what is one plus one' text kind of question.

Alternativly, is there a way to add to the default silverstripe userforms page to add in a required question, with a specific required answer?

Any thoughts suggestions?

Mollom is just one of the many spam protector options you can plug in, perhaps try the simple spam version - http://www.silverstripe.org/simple-spam-protector-module/.
