Somehow when i try to install the comment module i get with dev/build/?flush=all a blank screen en the ss is dead.
the site is in dev mode but get totally no error report.
I did not even added the codes into _config.php.
When i remove the folder the site works again like a charm!
I think there should maybe be a double table entry or faulty programming? Does anybody know how to solve this.

installed modules:
blog
cwsoft-foldergallery
spamprotection
userforms

id like to have pagecomments in the blog. Unfortunately they have moved it into an standalone module wich (with me) doesnt work right now.

Any help?

sorry. i can not give you the error logs.

Somehow the server says in the apache.conf that it should be writing. Waht ive read is that the httpd-default.conf should genereate the reports. In httpd is no note for writing to an folder for errors and i dont know how to set this.

I wasn't interested in getting them - I was more pointing out that *somewhere* an error is logged, or could be configured to log.

I cannot recall a case where there wasn't an error that could be found or a debugging method that didn't leave some clues.

somehow it should be possible to ssh into the server and configure some config files to generate logs. I dont know exactly and dont want to break down the server.

Ive had it before the blank screen and it was a bad coding.
Ill keep on searching. Havnt found anything yet but must say had not much time.

If anyone has this too and fixed the error i'll love to hear how to solve this.

If i have the fix, ill post it.

You may wish to turn display_errors to 'On' in your PHP configuration (at least while debugging) so that error message is shown in the browser (if getting to logs is too hard).

Yesss, thanks. didnt think of it. With my old server i had it configured right. The new one was error reporting = 0.
turned it on and works like a charm.
The reason i got an blank screen was because the module spamprotection.
Fatal error: Object::add_extension() - Can't find extension class for "CommentSpamProtection" in /share/MD0_DATA/Web/dehaan/framework/core/Object.php on line 452

i actually dont need spamprotection because the full site is pw protected.

problem is solved now but i see the modules still need some work.

thanks for response.
