Can I put a picture on a page and then make it link to the gallary module?
I would prefer to set my own images and layout them out differently than just pulling form a directory of images. Then I would like to put a link to the gallary lightbox display.
Is this possilbe.
Also, can I include text or other informaiton along with the image?

Sure.. you can handle images any way you like. I'd recommend using the ImageDataObjectManager and create your own Image class and your own template to display them.
