hey folks,

i just installed silverstripe and am still a total beginner. i played around defining new page types and everything works just fine. what i have not figured out yet is how to have the urls reflect page nesting. instead of having a url like this mycompany.com/max i would prefer to have a url like this mycompany.com/team/max. now is this even possible at all? i would expect the url to actually as well reflect page nesting. after all if i create a page sub section within team it should be reflected within the url. or am i being too picky here now?

cheers,
chris

This is a pretty common request, sadly its not possible to get the url hierarchy to match the site tree. Have a read of

thanks a lot for your post. after i did submit my question i actually stumbled across the forum discussions related to that problem. i just couldn't find a way how to delete my post. anyways, i just started playing around with silverstripe a day ago. got everything set up and started creating my first classes. totally love the mvc structure and hope that i will no longer envy ruby... too bad that proper url hierarchy isn't supported. because of that i am not able to use it for any of my work at all. no matter what i will definately keep on following up on the development. maybe within a future release that could be part of the cms.

thanks a lot
