hi

i'm trying to implement the maps module, and i even installed forums too in order to try the maps;

but i don't get how is it working... where/how can i enter map point(s) data?

i made the forum members' map page, but it's not showing the members' locations - just an empty map (so i guess that rules out automatic point placement by country)

so what am i missing? should there be a new tab in cms somewhere, or what?

there's nothing in forum member's data either...

how then do i add points to the map (be it forum members or otherwise)?

thanx in advance

there's the silverstripe GIS module which is still pretty young (but has a Point DBField class):
http://open.silverstripe.com/browser/modules/gis

and a google maps module thats a result from last years GSOC:
http://open.silverstripe.com/browser/modules/maps

and a more specific implementation for "market demand data" with lots of jquery goodness:
