Are their any plans to provide a means of adding Private Messaging [with email notification] to this SilverStripe CMS?

I love the idea of the integrated components of this CMS, so would be a pity if my requirement for PM [with notification] was not available from SilverStripe.

Hi Sighkick,

Nothing has really been developed, but here's a little bit of code to get you started if you want to look at putting something together yourself:

Trac: http://open.silverstripe.com/browser/modules/privatemessaging/trunk
Subversion: http://svn.silverstripe.com/open/modules/privatemessaging/trunk

You'll need to use subversion to download it.

Sam,

Thanks for your reply. I confess that I am not a 'coder' and had only heard of the word 'subversion' in a very vague context on my travels around the net.

Am I to assume that it is a form of dependency link to ensure that any code integrated with the SilverStripe CMS does not break it?

Is PM something that may be looked at by the team in the short term? I do like the idea of a Portal such as SilverStripe where everything is seamlessly integrated.
