Error message

I have just installed silverstripe with the Windows installer and went with all the default options. but unfortunately when I try to go http://localhost:3000/ I get an error message. I tried restarting but that hasn't fixed the problem.

Any ideas what to try next?

These are a collection of the messages:

Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage

Opera: Error!
Could not connect to remote server

Unable to connect
Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at localhost:3000.
