I have about 15 Silverstripe sites on one box, and I'd love it if they were all able to share the same codebase. Currently, it's a real pain for me to have to roll out updates across 15 sites and have to remember every little change I make.

Has anyone done this with success? I was thinking I could set up a symbolic link to the sapphire, cms, and jsparty folders that live in one place on my server, and have the mysite and assets folders live locally on the virtual host. Does that sound reasonable or will things blow up?

I've heard that being done elsewhere (symlinks) - should be fine. Presumably you already have "Options FollowSymLinks" in your apache config.

Test it first tho :D
