hi,

when i try to install ss, i get this errors:

Warning: file_get_contents() [function.file-get-contents]: URL file-access is disabled in the server configuration in /home/httpd/vhosts/kolonko.ch/subdomains/dev/httpdocs/rewritetest.php on line 47

Warning: file_get_contents(http://dev.kolonko.ch/InstallerTest/testrewrite) [function.file-get-contents]: failed to open stream: no suitable wrapper could be found in /home/httpd/vhosts/kolonko.ch/subdomains/dev/httpdocs/rewritetest.php on line 47

mod_rewrite doesn't appear to be working. Make sure:

* mod_rewrite is enabled in your httpd.conf
* AllowOverride is enabled for the current path.

Please check these options, then refresh this page.If you believe that your configuration is correct, click here to proceed anyway.

anyway, whe ni try to proceed, i get this error:

Warning: file_exists() [function.file-exists]: open_basedir restriction in effect. File(../../_ss_environment.php) is not within the allowed path(s): (/home/httpd/vhosts/kolonko.ch/subdomains/dev/httpdocs:/tmp) in /home/httpd/vhosts/kolonko.ch/subdomains/dev/httpdocs/sapphire/core/Core.php on line 31

i checked with my provider, and mod_rewrite is on, as well as AllowOverride...

also, i can install 2.2.3 without problems.

can anyone help me with this problem?

hi,

so, i phoned again with the provider, and after looking at rewritetest.php he told me, that the test is using allow_url_fopen.

he could then temporary enable it.

so, after that, there was no problem installing ss...

cheers

The rewrite test for the installer uses ajax instead of fopen() now, which should fix this issue.
