Has anyone experienced problems with the 2.2.3 release of Silverstripe intermittently logging you out of the admin?

I only experience this in my "exotic" Silverstripe installs where I mix it with existing web-apps (fooling with base-url's and cookies will usually do the trick)...

I only have this happen when not logged in as an admin and the page type has an image field since there is a bug with that combo.

Other than that I've been fine.

Oh, very interesting, LeeUmm. That is one thing that drives me crazy. In all my SS installations, I have to hack the Image field to accept a lower permission level than "ADMIN". But usually it throws a nasty error in the iframe when the permission is denied. Are you saying it can happen just suddenly?

It's so frustrating figuring out these errors. I bet my client has some weird security settings or something. He's probably in IE6.

LeeUmm, you rock! That was the problem. Visiting a page with an image uploader (permission error), then navigating to a different page (session is broken).

What an annoying problem. Is there a ticket in for this? I just sunk 8 hours into it. Thank god for the forum! :-)

Yup, I had posted this same problem a few months ago and was informed of the ticket.

That quick fix solved my problem, so luckily I didn't invest a lot of time into the problem.

SS has come a long way, and I'm pretty stoked on the 2.3 release. I feel this will be the release that really makes things stable, as right now there are a lot of wonky things like this that can be annoying for first time users.

I'm very excited about 2.3. I love SS, but I think it has a long way to go with its interface. A co-worker was just showing me some screens of the new Expression Engine and I got a little jealous.

One of the recent hires at SS is a pretty serious designer. I wonder if they're already aware of its shortcomings and have some plans.
