I have installed SilverStripe on my PC to test drive it. I like it's ease of use so great work team in what you've built! Now the reason I want to test it is that I am considering using it as a replacement to an existing self built directory type php/mysql website. I want to redevelop the site which was built some years ago but don't have a lot of time on my hands to do it! Can anyone point me in the right direction if I want to read from and write to an existing MySql database (with directory type info in it) from a SilverStripe template. Is this something SilverStripe can easily do or should I be looking for a directory type solution over this cms solution? Have other people done this? Is their information about how to achieve this?
