We found that during the installation, PHP mail() function cuase problems if there is no SMTP server to use. Installation could't be done because od it...
Quick and dirty workaround is to temporary comment this PHP mail() function.

Thanks for the info, Stevan. We'll improve the installer so that it works without modification on servers without a proper mail set-up.
I assume you were installing from the PHP installer, rather than the Windows installer?
