So, I did a clean install on my local machine, then added the widgets-module and blog-module. I get the exact same issue. Safari jumps to Chrome, FF is doing fine and Chrome renders it as pure source code with shattered specialchars. Did you have more luck?

I believe Chrome requires the install of an extension to handle RSS subscriptions, e.g.
https://chrome.google.com/extensions/detail/nlbjncdgjeocebhnmkbbbdekmmmcbfjd
Install that, and you'll see a similar page to Firefox.
