I'm struggling for some reason installing the DataObjectManager module. When I download the DataObjectManager-master-HEAD.tar.gz file and unpack it I get 2 directories. One called dataobject_manager which seems to be a symbolic link that points back to itself and the other is called code. If I run /dev/build/flush=all it does not seem to modify any settings. If I delete the dataobject_manager folder and rename the folder code to dataobject_manager and run /cdv/build I still can't get it to install. Any suggestions on what I might be doing wrong?

What makes you think it's not installed?
