Hey, everyone,

I've committed a first draft of the audio and video features of FileDataObjectManager to SVN. This will give the ability to easily render playable audio and video on your templates using Flash. Video and audio galleries are now a very real possibility.

There's a lot to explain, so those of you who are interested should watch the following screencast in 2 parts:

Please note: These features require that you update the SWFUpload module.

Hi UncleCheese,
I just love this - looks like the sky really is going to be the limit :-) I watched your video's just a couple of minutes ago. Unfortunately the first video doesn't seem to want to go beyond 7:14 or thereabouts for me. I tried a couple of times now, but it just stops and hangs there loading...

Fantastic work Uncle Cheese. These features are priceless and another great addition to the entire Silverstripe community. Just another reason why open source is freaking awesome.

Thanks for all of your time and effort. :D

Hi Uncle Cheese,

I am currently building a custom video module for a site I am working on. It uses the LongTail Video player to play any SWF file. When my site is up in a few days, I'll send you a link. Maybe you can use some of my code.

Yeah, that's what this uses.

Mine also uses the MooTools library, and Moodal box to display the video.

This is another excellent feature of your DOM module UC. Well done.
