Hi Uncle Cheese,
I have decided to convert my csv file into an ICS file. The csv file has different fields. Is this file, CalendarDateTime.php, the only file i have to change to map the fields that I have?

No, don't change the core code. If you're using custom fields you should be using subclasses.. There's a tutorial in the documentation called "extending the event calendar" that walks you through that process.
