Hi I have found in two websites that after installing the ImageGallery module that the Upload button disappears and there are images missing in the admin of the CMS. I am using SS 2.3.3 and have installed the latest stable releases of the following:
modules-dataobject_manager-r278
modules-image_gallery-r274.tar
modules-swfupload-r271.tar

I have repeatedly tried reinstalling Silverstripe from scratch and it allows breaks the backend. Is there any known reason for this and a fix?
Many thanks for any help you can give.

I have resolved it I think. I found that if you took off the name module on the dataobject manager and the swfupload it seems to put the upload button in. So they read dataobject_manager and swfupload and modules-image_gallery.

I have another site where I renamed those modules which created the Upload button but now in the main content pages the WYSIWYG editor is missing. This same error didn't happen in the other two websites I just fixed with the renamed module folders. Perhaps because the current website is a upgrade from a 2.2 version of Silverstripe that this is causing the editor to not be loaded?

I'm not really sure what you're talking about with the WYSIWYG editor. None of those modules should affect that.

I wish I could find a way to make it more known that the directory names have to change. That's true of all modules. It would save everyone a lot of headaches if those ZIP files didn't do that.

Thanks for that. The HTML editor Tiny MCE I think it is called is not coming up I will have to see if anything else is affecting it but it only disappeared after renaming the module names.

Try searching the Forums for "TinyMCE", that's the editor you're talking about. I had a rough upgrade from 2.2.x a few days ago, but not this specific issue. Just make sure that you've run mysite.com/dev/build?flush=all. Also, did you delete the folders (cms, jsparty, sapphire, etc) and put new ones up there? Don't copy over the old ones, it can cause problems.

Thank you so much for that advice I will reinstall the latest Silverstripe (just in case I did just copy over them) but will first try a flush all as I had only done a flush=1.
Many thanks

I have just gone into the backend of the site and found the WYSIWYG Tiny MCE editor is back in there – so I presume the CMS has flushed itself and that was the issue. Thank you for your help!
