Hi,

We're about to create a contact us form. We're hoping to use it on our own website as well as clients' websites.

I'm wondering if there are any compelling reasons not to use the UserForms module to achieve this, as opposed to creating a custom contact form page/controller/template?

The UserForms module is brilliant.

What do you reckon? Any disadvantages using UserForms? Advantages creating a custom contact us form? Or how about using existing Contact Us modules (such as Uncle Cheese's or StudioBonito's)

Thanks.

Hi,

The only reason I would offer is that often clients ask for "if they check this box then please add them to my mailing list" or "all enquiries should go to highrise" - these are harder to achieve with the genric nature of the fields within UserForm. And once you give them control over the form they will want to keep it *and* get these "tweaks".
