Hey there,

im really new to website building.

Currently, I have installed silversdtripe-forum-master which works perfectly. However, all the forum holders & forums can be accessed by any logged in user. what we want is, e.g. user1 can only see and access to forum holder 1 and all the forum topics under this holder.

can someone let me know what i need to do?

also, i know it may need to be done by extending page_controller. well, how do i create the code? whats the query like?

Thanks for your help.

:)

If you're using SS 3.x, select the forum holder you want to edit and then click the Settings tab at the top right corner. (The tab bar at the very top, not the one under it, which I think is a leftover from the 2.x days.) From there you'll see options for who can view & edit (post) in that section. You'll want to select 'only these people', and then select the users or user groups you want to give access to.
