Hey everyone,

So I've come across an issue with my SilverStripe project where I'm able to set page security settings under 'Who can view this page?' but after saving and publishing the page. The settings don't take effect. Non-logged in users or probably users from different user groups can access the page. Any ideas as to how to rectify this?

The page I've tried this with is at the first level so it'd be the parent page essentially. The website project site settings is to set everyone can view the site. I also made a test page which was at the second-level and it also did not work.

SilverStripe version that my project is using is 3.1.12

Have you modified Page.php in any way?
Specifically, added a canView method?

Hey Pyromanik,
I have modified the Page.php, I triple checked and there is no canView method in place.

Any other ideas on why this would be happening?

Try it on a vanilla install of the same version. If it's replicable then you should log a ticket.
If not... time to break out some debugging tools I guess :>
