I would like to use a 'external link library' function in the CMS that integrates with TinyMCE WYSIWYG. I have developed many sites in SilverStripe, but have never come across this issue.

I want a way for the cms user to be able to add links in the WYSIWYG, and if they want to change a link later, the link changes all over the site.

The client I am working with has many, many external links that they have anchors for in 2000+ pages. The same link is linked to on many pages all over the site. Updating the links manually would be next to impossible.

Changing links for pages on the current site is easy, but how about external links? I would like to mirror the functionality to extend to external links as well, but I am stumped.

Any ideas of how to proceed?
