It's very simple. Thumbnail in content functions is working like that - in Image Insert dialog is checkbox for the thumbnail. you can set thumbnail size, but not original image size.

Thats it :)

After on the website thumbnail has a link to original image, which opens in the Lightbox (or any other overlay box). I'm using now PrettyPhoto.

So, it's very simple for the end user :)

Thanks for the hint, but I don't have "thumbnail" in any dialog (freshly installed 2.3.4)... Will tinker a bit with that tomorrow and have a look at PrettyPhoto.

Hi there - I too don't have a thumbnail checkbox in the image dialogue box. I've upgraded to 2.3.7 and no joy. @Gutur did you manage to figure this out?

Cheers, Jayne

Of course there is no thumbnail checkbox - i built it for one of my projects :) It's not a default function in silverstripe.

I would really appreciate it if you could give me an idea of how you went about that? I'd love to provide that functionality for my clients.

Many thanks in advance, Jayne
