Hi, I have inherited an old SS 2.4.2 site what is currently running PHP 5.3, we are in the process of redeveloping the site but this is still a couple of months out from completion.
Now the current hosting company is going to PHP 5.3 and 5.4 from the server in the next 2 weeks, but the site is getting a lot of errors trying to run on PHP 5.6.

Now is there a quick fix to run the old 2.4.2 site on PHP 5.6? I was reading in the forums about a patch http://open.silverstripe.org/ticket/7737 but it is a dead link.
Is 2.4.13 compatible with PHP 5.6?

I have kind of the same problem. My silverstripe version is 3.0.1. And my hosting provider is moving from 5.3. to 5.6.

The frontend is ok, works good. But the backend simply does nothing

Did you get any solution?

No, I did not find a stable fix so i upgaded to SS3
