.htaccess mod to remove /ss/ subdirectory from url?

Hi Turnaround Guy,

But this doesn't remove ss from the url.

Even I was looking for similar solution.

Keep root folder clean and install SS in "ss" folder

Configure .htaccess such that url behaves exactly like mydomain.com/page-urls instead of mydomain/ss/page-url

If base url is configured then CSS and image urls doesn't work.
