Ive got an problem installing silverstripe on dedicated servers. mod-rewrite is working on the server but not shown in the php_info.
Because of this i can not install silverstripe.

When i maken a local backup here from my home server from the database and import it on the dedicated server, overwrite the _config.php with the adjusted setting from the db and dev mode on i see the site and then mod-rewrite works?

it seems that mod-rewrite only in the install file is called from the php_config file and not from apache! When installed it calls the .htaccess and mod rewrite works.

How can i solve this so i can install?

The mod_rewrite check is a warning in SilverStripe 2.4.2 installer.
The detection may not be entirely accurate. Have you tried to install anyway? It should not block you from installing.

Try 2.4.2. The installer has been refined since SilverStripe 2.3.
