Hi all,

I am a SS newbie and have been trying to get familiar with the product so I can start designing a new site for our church. I have downloaded SilverStripe and everything seems to be working fine (site is displaying correctly and I am able to access the admin area).

I have been reading/working through the building a basic site tutorial and keep getting an error whenever I try to save files. For example Error: Access to: c:\inetput\wwwroot\silverstripe\themes\tutorial\template\homepage.ss was denied.

I am logged into my computer as Administrator and don't understand why I am not able to edit and save files. Any ideas why this is happening and how to correct?

thanks

Lorenzo

I'm not a windows permission expert but you should check the permissions of the folder. Right click and view properties of the files effected. It should have read / write access to your user account as well as the web user.

Thanks Willr,

I thought I set all the permissions, evidently I forgot one.
