Hi
I wonder if it is possible to install and try silverstripe on the same domain as where I got my WP website.
I like to move away from WP and SS seems to be one of my prefered options?
Any advice is very much appreciated;-)

One solution is that you can install SilverStripe into a subdirectory, e.g. www.yourwebsite.com/silverstripe/

(Or you could put silverstripe into the 'root' and put wordpress into a subdirectory. You might need to fiddle with the .htaccess file.)

Is that what you're after?

Sigurd
Thanks!
That's exactly what I was after. I assume SS is running on the same database as WP?
By the way, I'm living "next door".

You should be able to use same database. If it's no difference to you and the hosting company provides this easily, it'd be cleaner to use two different ones, as a matter of tidy housekeeping.

Should I add a subdomain to my existing for this purpose as there is no extra cost.
Also, what costs can I expect for themes/plugins and other?
Thanks

I've installed a Silverstripe with Wp.
Then, I installed Wp under a subdir and config .htaccess to no manage wp dir.
