Upon downloading either the SS 3.0.1 CMS or the Framework files and extracting the files it is noted that many files names are truncated in the two download packages. Seems that the source file or the zip process may be faulty.

The install initially shows errors in the framework thirdparty folder which can be fixed by renaming half a dozen files with their full extensions. When navigating the newly site a lot of CMS and framework functionality is non-existent but can be fixed by properly renaming the affected files.

There are about 200 files affected and are *.js, *.xml, *.ss, *.gif, *.png files to name a few extensions. Errors do show in the web server logs when the wrongly named files are unable to be located.

Clyde, you may want to raise this as a bug on open.silverstripe.org to ensure this gets fixed.
