Hi
I managed to get silver stripe running fine on my server im really impressed but the problem is I now want to run a second website with a separate copy of silver stripe installed.
The problem I am now facing is that after the install is complete the original site picks up the content from the new mysql database. If I run the flush command the site functions fine again with the original content but then the new site is broken.

Any suggestions on what could be causing these conflicts?

Any help will be much appreciated

Thanks,
Chris

Hi Chris

Each SilverStripe installation needs its own Database. Make sure you create a separate DB for your new Site.
If your Hosting Provider only allows you to have a single DB, you should have a look at this forum thread: http://www.silverstripe.org/general-questions/show/262447

Update And don't forget to change the _config.php files accordingly (Site A uses Database A credentials and Site B uses Database B credentials)

Thanks for the reply, I don’t think that is the issue as im running it on my own inhouse server running windows 2003 and i have two separate databases setup, its as if there is a cache of some sort that both sites maybe using??

Try putting a silverstripe-cache folder into each of your web root directories (next to sapphire, cms, and jsparty).
