Just installed and testing now.

Superb work SS team and contribs. I'm loving the speed optimization in the admin.

Now time to get me hands dirty and discover the new goodies and bug fixes.

Kudos

It's a shame so many of the modules have broken with this new release. :(

I am trying to install ss 2.3 on a shared server and it doesnt work. The installation process stops on the database build and the error is :

[Notice] Undefined index: Controller
POST /install.php

Line 146 in /usr/local/psa/home/vhosts/northstargroupsrl.com/httpdocs/sapphire/core/ClassInfo.php

SS 2.2.3 works like a charme on the same shared server.Any help is appreciated

It's a shame so many of the modules have broken with this new release.

Only a matter of time. Most CMS's are the same when a new major version is released. Although some of the others have high enough module activity that the maintainers bring their modules up to speed prior to release.

And there's only one way to generate more activity. ;-)

Dandbalbo, try posting your problem to the installation thread. Notices aren't really errors. You could turn E_NOTICE off and I suspect you won't have a problem.

Hello everyone

At the beginning excuse my poor english

Thanks for the great CMS. I used to build websites using other kind of CMS and one of my friends advice me to try SilverStripe and when I tried it I really loved it and loved the freedom in building the templates and sites using it. I'm still new to the system and I was practicing tutorials on the version 2.2.3. I observed today that you have a new version 2.3 and I downloaded it but I found something missing with the version that was in the previous version such as NewsLetters, Image Editing, Statistics. But the new has improved in performance and I really thank you for the great work you done. Keep going.
